st-1685229īasically you rewire Maschine to act more like a VSTi than a stand alone app. It's IMO kind of dumb that it doesn't have a "host setting", and you're stuck jumping through hoops, but here's a good place to start. Rename it to Maschine in REAPER or whatever you want. Setting up Maschine to be used as a drum machine and VST controller is relatively difficult but not super hard. Open up the Controller Editor software, and pick a template to use. You have to have Controller Editor running in the background to use Maschine as a Mackie Control surface, but it get's in the way of using it as a drum machine etc. So the question is why did you do that? Have you downloaded and installed Controller Editor? If you have and are using the Mackie setting there, then it makes some sense, otherwise this is a shot in the dark. I have it setup in Control Surfaces as Mackie Control Driver- Input Maschine Mikro MK3 ch1, Output Maschine Mikro MK3, and 'Listen to control surfaces in background' checked. My desire is to be able to write/layout some structure in the Maschine software with its cool loops and patterns, and along the way add guitars etc with timelines and other soft synths all flowing well together.

Maybe that setup is the problem? I also have a Nectar Impact LX 49 working for other synths control and its working well.Īnd I couldn't get Mikro in MIDI Mode to make any sound in other instantiated synths (poss cuz of the Nekar's presence).ĭoes anyone have Mikro or Maschine working well?

When using Mikro to work in Maschine software in DP 10.13 (which is why I wanted it- not really into standalone at this point) some of its buttons either don't work or act wacky ( ie 'restart loop' doesn't work at all- so there's no way to use Mikro to restart at zero, and holding Shift/Tap Metro makes the software move really fast thru measures.) Scoured the internet except for asking here so here goes. Hello, I am having difficulty getting Maschine Mikro to play well inside DP.
